“Balance”  is an angular, off-centered exterior sculpture installed on the front lawn just beyond the Historic Entry Plaza. It incorporates the gradation of color similar to the Harmony steps. The movement of swirls are juxtaposed against the hard, angular edges. I integrated Eliot-Hine’s core values: Excellence, Responsibility, Integrity and Community into the piece. Four virtues one must strive to “balance.” I envision the students interactive with this piece. One should be able to walk around it and contemplate its meaning and symbolism.
